Producer, Director, Writer.

I was born in Puerto Rico, raised in Texas, went to art school at the Rhode Island School of Design, and film school at UCLA, where I fell in love with Los Angeles and made the city my home. I’ve been grateful to work with so many talented filmmakers whose art I adore, admire and learn from. I’ve had opportunities to make film, television and music videos as a producer, a director, a writer and an executive. My work has appeared on Hulu, MTV, Showtime, Starz, Netflix, Amazon and PBS. I have worked as an executive at MTV, Gunpowder & Sky, and now Hearst Magazines.

I am a corny, unapologetic believer in the magical power that story has to bring the least likely people together. I think the more unique narratives, perspectives and characters we encounter, the more we can love the strange and different in each other and ourselves. I’ve had some of the best conversations of my life on locations, over scripts, and at film festivals. Filmmaking is woven into many of my most cherished relationships.

It’s also in my blood:

Left: my grandmother, in the 1950s. Right, my father, in the 1960s.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family and friends. I’m a proud parent of two smart, funny, kind boys. I’m the lucky partner of a talented writer, comic, artist and former circus performer. I’m grateful to have a large, thriving, chosen family of trans, cis, queer and straight neighbors, siblings and friends and nothing makes me happier than getting as many of them as I can together for a home-cooked meal.

I like to run. I like to paint. Once, I befriended a scammer on Instagram and recorded a single with him (I’m still waiting for the footage for the music video).

Oh and I’m trans and my pronouns are she and they.
